Permanent Endowment Fund
Each gift is a “seed” which when invested wisely and nourished thoughtfully will grow to an abundant harvest. . .
WHAT IS THE GROTON UNITED METHODIST CHURCH PERMANENT ENDOWMENT PROGRAM?
Recognizing that it is vital to its continued growth and security, the Groton UMC has established a permanent Endowment Program, a non-profit corporation, created to receive permanent gifts to ensure the future of the Groton UMC and its ministry.
Its basic purpose is to provide members and friends opportunities to make charitable gifts to the Groton UMC that will become a permanent endowment of financial support and a living memorial. The Endowment Program is intended for purposes that are not a part of the church’s established programs, which are funded through the annual operating budget of the church and the regular giving of its members.
The principal of the gift is invested and the interest from that principal may accumulate or be used to provide funds for ministries beyond the annual budget of the church.
You can become an integral part of Groton’s continuing church history and ministry of this congregation by helping us establish a living endowment. This endowment starts with your gift of any size; you can make additional contributions throughout your life as the Lord blesses you and in death through your estate.
To the full extent of the law, your contributions to the Groton UMC Endowment Program are tax deductible for Federal Income Tax purposes.
